Meeting Minutes from 06-14-2007 Association Meeting

HIDDEN OAKS ASSOCIATION
 

The Annual Hidden Oaks Association Meeting was held on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Shingle Oak Court.  22 households were represented.

Election of Association Trustees
Kirsten Harrison was nominated as a new Board member.  The nomination was seconded.  The Board members for 2007 are:  Kirsten Harrison, Connie Marler and Ruth Mundy.  The website has been updated to reflect this change.

Financial Report:
The Income & Disbursement Statement from 5/1/2007 through 5/31/2007 was available.  There was no discussion regarding the financial statement.  If anyone would like a copy of the financial report, please contact a Board member.

Overview of Summerfest Block Party
A report was given regarding the Summerfest Block Party held on Saturday, June 9, 2007 from 3:00-8:00pm at Canyon Oak Court.  There were 85 residents in attendance.  If you have suggestions/comments for next year’s party, please contact a board member or email Kirsten at:  Kirsten@hidden-oak.org

Island Entry Facelift
Bids were received to give the entry island a facelift.  There will be new plants and all rock will be removed and replaced with mulch.  A question was raised asking if the Hidden Oaks lettering could be raised on the monument.  The board will inquire about this.

Garage Sale
Naomi Potts requested help with organizing the May/October garage sales due to personal issues. Vickie Rice has agreed to assist Naomi when needed.  There was also discussion as to having  Friday evening/Saturday daytime garage sale times instead of the Wednesday & Saturday routine.  Naomi and Vickie will look into this and decide. There will be a poll on the Hidden Oaks web-site to get the resident opinions. Please look for this in the future!

Hidden Oaks Website
Kevin Fischer, webmaster, gave an update on the Hidden Oaks website (www.hidden-oaks.org).  Kevin welcomes new ideas/suggestions/participation on how to make improvements to the website.  Some statistics regarding the Hidden Oaks website:

• Since 2003 we've had 9,979 visits.
• This has been our busiest year with 4,362 visits.
• We have an average of 15 visitors per day.
• The busiest day is Tuesday. (Go figure)
• The busiest time of the day is 12:00pm.

Found - Young female Beagle. No tags or collar found wandering on Sherbrooke Road on Saturday AM 6/09. Call 314-520-6915 to claim.

Object found morning of June 14 on Turner Oak by Basket Oak. Tell me what you lost, I'll tell you if I have it. (Not an animal.) Reply by email to webmaster@hidden-oaks.org

Lost- in the St. Charles area or possibly I-70 West. Left keys on top of car and they fell off--Ford ignition key, remote control, and two or three other keys on a key ring with a red plastic attachment. Please call (314) 984-7138 or reply to webmaster@hidden-oaks.org..

Lost - On the morning of June 29 (Friday) I was out walking a friends dog who was staying with us, I lost my set of keys on a brown wooden carved stick with also my black car opener. It is vital that I find them because they have keys to my work cabinet at work and they don't keep a spare key. Call 636-949-8604. I live on Burn Oak Drive. Thanks for all your help.
