Meeting Minutes from 06-15-2006 Association Meeting

HIDDEN OAKS ASSOCIATION

The Annual Hidden Oaks Association Meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at Shingle Oak Court.  Brad Biggers chaired the meeting with Connie Marler and Ruth Mundy also present.  20 households were represented.

 

election of association trustees:
There were no nominations for new members.  There was a motion to accept the list of nominees by acclamation.  There was a second.  The Board will remain as is with Brad Biggers, Connie Marler and Ruth Mundy serving as the Board of Trustees. 

 

financial report:
The Income & Disbursement Statement from 5/1/2006 through 5/31/2006 was available.  There was no discussion regarding the financial statement.

 

website:
Kevin Fischer, webmaster, gave an update on the Hidden Oaks website (www.hidden-oaks.org).  Kirsten Harrison has been assisting Kevin with design ideas and has taken an active interest in maintaining the online calendar.  Craig Rodenberg also volunteered to assist with the website.  Kevin asked, “what are we looking for” on the website?  He encouraged any ideas/suggestions/participation in how to make improvements to the website.  It was also mentioned that both the Hidden Oaks Covenant Ordinances and some of the pertinent City of Saint Charles Ordinances will be available on the Hidden Oaks website.

 

newsletter:
Kirsten Harrison will reactivate the Hidden Oaks Neighborhood Newsletter.  A survey will be included with the 1st Newsletter asking for neighborhood interests/input/ideas/suggestions.  If anyone has any items for the Newsletter, please contact Kirsten at:  kharrison@hidden-oaks.org.

 

welcome committee:
David Kaufman inquired about a Welcome Committee for new residents and also offered to be part of welcoming new residents.  It was noted that a Welcome Committee was tried several years ago but did not continue.

 


neighborhood events:
There was some discussion about neighborhood events, i.e. block party, kid events, neighborhood watch, bunko, etc.  It was again noted that these kinds of events were also tried in the past but were discontinued due to a lack of interest.

 

light poles:
It was mentioned that all lights poles had been newly painted.

 

kids/dogs:
Craig Rodenberg asked if residents could be more considerate of how loud some children can be and also if residents with pets could be more conscientious about keeping their pets on a leash or in the yard.

 

adjournment:
There being no further business there was a motion to adjourn.  The motion was seconded.  Motion carried.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
